Animal Visits
Careco also has a small rescue centre based in Glastonbury. As well as providing staff, we also provide free animal visits to any establishment that we serve.
The rescue centre has been running for the past 2 years. We like to give something back to the residents, and by providing animal visits, we feel we are doing just this.
We currently have:
Shetland ponies
Alpacas
Goats
Sheep
Peacocks
Pheasants
Ducks
A pair of sulphur crested cockatoos
A European eagle owl
Green Amazon parrots
Tragopans
Emu & Rheas
Cats
Rabbits - coming in July
We are open to the public for arranged visits; however we are currently going through planning permission for updating our facilities for more disabled access, friendly viewing and a disabled toilet.
In the meantime we are able to bring a select few animals of your choice to you.
When making an animal visit booking please let us know if you wish us to liaise with your activities co-ordinator in advance to ensure both residents and staff get the most out of our visits.
